E-500 M.I.O. For: Structural Steel Systems CHEMICAL FAMILY: Polyisocyanate-Prepolymer.

E-500: A one component Moisture Cure Micaceous Iron Oxide, Pigmented, high build, maximum strength, and high solids for Intermediate Paint, enhancing the ability to sustain integrity of the whole system over the coatings life span.

E-500: Was also developed, especially, to attain a high-build, rich red color, to contrast with other first coat primers and most finish coats.

USES:

E-500 is excellent when used over our E-400 Aluminum Moisture Cure Polyurethane Primer, also excellent when used under our E-600 Finish Coat.

E-500 is especially good for use as an overcoat system, over old lead paint when cleaned @ visual S.S.P.C. CLASS 31.

Contractor friendly: E-500 is a one component, easy to apply without blistering, cracking, when applied @ 8-10 mils.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface must be free of all grease, dirt, moisture and all other contaminants. Water blasting @ 4000 PSI and power tool cleaning is recommended when product is used over old paint.

Application: Stir thoroughly, making sure the product is of one consistency. Keep container closed when not using, as this paint reacts with moisture.

Recommended film thickness: Apply 5 to 10 mils wet, depending of the needs of substrate.

Curing time: To cure, 4 hrs. To touch, 2 hrs. To handle, 3-4 hrs.

Recoat time: 4 hrs to 24 hrs, depending on temperature and humidity. In cooler weather a longer drying time may prevail.

Equipment: Apply with airless sprayer, tip size @ 0.013 to 0.0.17 or use roller brush.

Pot life: 3 to 6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Product life: mm. one year.

Coverage rates @ wet film thickness. 

4.5 mils = 210 sq, ft. per gal. 
5 mils = 195 sq. ft. per gal. 
10 mils wet = 100 sq. ft. per gal.

Sag resistance: No sag on LENATA DRAWDOWN through 7 mils wet, 1/64" drag @ 9 mils wet.

Cleanup: Use XYOL [Xylene] to flush and clean immediately after equipment use. Do not allow any alcohol near product or equipment.
